East Bank
(Half-day – departs daily – min. 2 pax)

Visit Luxor, which is dominated by the Temple of Luxor on the banks of the Nile. It was originally joined to the Temple of Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes. The City of Palaces, or Karnak, is a gigantic testament to a desire for immortality. Rams, a symbol of fertility and growth, line the entrance and apparently this avenue used to lead to the Nile.

West Bank
(Half-day – departs daily – min. 2 pax)

Visit the ruins of the Colossi of Memnon, all that remains of the Temple of Amenophis which was destroyed by the annual flooding of the Nile. Travel to Deir al-Bahri where the Temple of Hatshepsut was built for the only woman to rule Egypt. During her 20-year rule, which saw her adopt the manner and clothing of a man, Egypt experienced a time of growth and peace.Visit the secluded Valley of Kings where only afew of the tombs have escaped grave robbers. The most famous of the 60 tombs there is Tutankhamun's. Be aware that not all of those 60 tombs are open to the public.

Dendarah
(Half-day – departs daily – min. 2 pax)

Travel to Dendarah Temple along a path between two Roman fountains that end at the massive entry gate. The enclosure walls are mud-brick and date to the Roman era. Various additions and alterations were made to the temple both by various pharaohs across various dynasties, Greeks and Romans. It is one of the most important temple sites in Egypt and features one of the best preserved temples.

Sound & Light Show Luxor

Experience a sound & light show depicting and describing the history of Karnak temple and the city of Thebes.

Luxor Museum
(Half-day – departs daily – min. 2 pax)

Visit this small, purpose-built museum which was inaugurated in 1975. It may be smaller than the one in Cairo but it prides itself on quality over quantity and features numerous important pieces. Among those are: some of the treasure found in Tutankhamun’s tomb, 26 exceptionally well preserved New Kingdom statues and the royal mummies of Ahmose I and Ramesses I.

Felucca in Luxor
(1 hour Felucca cruise – departs daily – min. 2 pax)

View Luxor temple and the city from the Nile as you cruise along the river for an hour on a traditional Egyptian sailboat called a “Felucca”.

Hot Air Balloon
(Early morning - departs daily – min. 2 pax)

You will be met and transferred for your balloon excursion at approximately 05h00.Drift peacefully over the Valley of the Kings & queens as you witness the whole magnificent Luxor area from a completely unique angle.

Ancient Egyptians believed the mouth of the canyon at Abydos was the entrance to the underworld and as a result buried many of their dead here, including the first kings of a unified Egypt. One of the tombs of a 1st dynasty king was later mistaken to be the tomb of Osiris (Egyptian god of the Netherworld) which lead to ancient pilgrims leaving offerings to the god in clay pots in the area giving a part of the area another name, “Umm el Qa’ab” (meaning Mother of Pots).
