Hi Melanie,

WOW!  My wife and  I had an absolute ball in Croatia and the places we visited absolutely stunning!

The arrangements were seamless, the service from Air France, Croatia Air, tour guide Jelena and bus driver Stjepan of unsurpassed quality. The guides organised by Jelena in the various cities were excellent and we learned so much about this beautiful country of Croatia. We were picked up and dropped off at the times given to us and we never had to wait or stress about anything.

Thank you for your wonderful service and the seamless organisation of the flights and tour. It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to deal with you.

Kind regards,
Chris & Alta Roothman

Hi Ria

Back from Cooking School in Italy!

What a trip!  If you get any enquiries for this you are welcome to refer them to me.
Chef Claudio is brilliant – he is patient, charming, his English is good and he explains everything so well!  The accommodation is rustic but charming and the group I was with were all Americans and we had a great time together.

I learnt so much on this trip. Transfers and everything went well.

Kind regards
Carol Hudson

"Thank you for assisting in putting together  our trip through Israel. It was well organised and a memorable trip indeed.

I would also like to take this opportunity to convey our gratitude for selecting Reuven as our guide. The depth of his historical and archaeological knowledge was most impressive indeed. It was most enlightening.  We also greatly enjoyed the warmth of his hospitality in general apart from the unexpected bonus of professionally take photographs.

I will certainly recommend your agency to other South African travellers to Israel.”

Egypt was the BEST holiday ever! Because tourism is so much down after the revolution, it was in our favour - there were no queues at any point, only 30 people on the cruiser (capacity 150). The Nile Dolphin was really great value for money, beautiful cruiser; superb service; great food; still new as compared to some of the other cruisers we saw - and ultra-luxurious. We were docked 7 Cruisers away from the harbour in Luxor - these were all standing empty due to the low tourism which is very sad and very unnecessary, but nowhere did we have to crane our necks to see anything which is exactly what happens in any other country you visit as a tourist.

Everything was organised like clock-work, and Sylvia Tours were the best I have ever encountered. All our guides were superb, we were pampered to the maximum. South Africa can learn from Egypt in terms of hospitality!

We met other South Africans on one of our excursions and we all had a good laugh because visiting Egypt now whilst tourism is so quiet and when everyone can't do enough for you must be one of the best kept secrets - and one of the best times ever to visit this country so rich in ancient wonders.

Everything was a highlight, our favourites were the aqua-scope (semi-submarine) and snorkeling at Sharm El Sheik; the sound and light show at Karnak; the well-preserved tombs in the Valley of the Kings; Kom Ombo Temple; Haptshepsut's Temple; Cairo Museum (adjacent to the burnt-out building of Mubarak - such a stark contrast); the Pyramids (of course); and going through the Lock on our way to Luxor.....oh my the list goes on!

I would highly recommend this trip to all, it surpassed all our expectations.

Thank you SO much, there are not enough adjectives...

Dear Sunitha,
Thank you once again for organizing the Croatia tour for us.   We all had a wonderful time and can highly recommend your ground handlers.   We were all promptly met at the airport in Zagreb by their representative and never had a moment's worry throughout the whole trip.   The bus was comfortable and time spent on the bus was kept at a minimum with regular intervals for "technical stops", as our guide called them, for refreshments and meals.   All the guides, both on the bus and in the cities, spoke very good English and had a treasure trove of knowledge about the places we were seeing.  The tours were conducted at a good pace with time left over after each tour for us to go back and explore by ourselves.   The hotels, too, were of good quality, except for the one in Split, where the position had much to be desired and the food of inferior quality.   The Park Hotel in Dubrovnik, where we spent an extra night, proved to be an excellent choice, right on the beach and a short bus ride from the city centre.   The Hotel Degenija was probably the best, a beautiful modern hotel with all the facilities in the middle of the Croatian county side and where we had an excellent dinner.

We loved Croatia and will certainly return and, if we want to go on a tour again, will certainly consider using your ground handlers again.

Hi all,
My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Turkey and what a fabulous trip it was, as this was our first trip to a foreign country we were both a bit apprehensive but from the time we left Cape Town to the moment we arrived back everything went like clockwork the drivers and guides were always where they said they would be, at the time they said they would be and everybody was so friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us, even though we had a language problem. At the hotels and on the tours we met people from other parts of the world that became friends who we will be keeping in touch with. We are both elderly and Daphne, my wife has a bit of a mobility problem but the guides were always there for us and glad to help in any way they could. We did have a senior moment when we could not find our passports at the airport on our way back our driver, Yusuf was quite willing to drive the 30km back to the hotel but all was well when we found them in one of the travel bags. Janis Aylward our consultant was fantastic answering all our questions and doing the booking with no trouble at all, we are now looking forward to doing another trip through your organization so we will definitely be contacting Janis again soon. I wish you all well and keep up the good work.
Thank you, Ken & Daphne Holden

Good Afternoon.
I am writing this little note to thank you for a very well organised tour for us three ladies. We first arrived in Cairo on Sunday 8 July to get a connecting flight onto Tel Aviv.  On our return from Israel we were  met by Mr HISHAM K in Cairo after our trip from Israel. How can I describe this very professional and kind rep. from your company. I think he went that extra mile to make us so welcomed to your country. I know he was doing his job but what a charming person!.  Please thank him very much.

Also on our final day of departure to south Africa, your Mr Sameh met us at the airport and advised us to wait at a hotel rather than at the airport.  This was very much appreciated.

If all of your staff are as great as Mr Hisham and Mr  Sameh then you have wonderul people working for your company. Please convey our thanks to both of them.  I also wish mr Hisham a verry happy eid Mubarak for next week. I wish you every success with all your tours.

Hi Debs,
We are now in the business lounge at Cairo Int'l airport waiting to board our flight back to Jeddah and onward to Riyadh for me as Amani will spend sometime in Jeddah. We had an amazing 16 days in Spain.  We sure have enjoyed every minute of it.

Madrid: Great hotel, great location.  The city has much to explore and it had its own charm. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel offers some great shopping with varied offerings and price ranges, in addition of course to the high end designer outlets, which we have tactfully avoided.

Seville: Nice hotel with excellent location.  The city was amazing with so much to see.  One thing we really enjoyed is an electric bike tour that you might want to suggest to your other clients if they ever decide to visit the city. We managed to make it to Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, and Ronda, all of which are worth the visit. No luck with the equestrian show however as they were not offering any visits when we were there.

Marbella:  Great Hotel.  Actually, among other hotels, this one we have enjoyed the most with nice facilities (with exception to the SPA, which was below average), and exceptionaly great F&B. The complimentary dinner and VIP kingsize beach bed were quite the treat.  The overall city was very nice especially the old part.  We had the chance to visit Malaga and Puerto Banos.

Granada: Alhambra and Mirador De San Nicolas were the highlights of the city.  Albayzin neighborhood was also very nice.  The Hotel was average at best, and the it was understaffed, and with less than qualified personnel.  We did not
have serious problems, but for a 4-5 star hotel we expected better service quality.

Cordoba:  We loved this quite city by the river and visiting the mosque / cathedral was really a unique experience.  The hotel was OK with a great location.

Our transfer to and from Airport / hotel / rail station in Madrid was great.  We enjoyed our road trips on the almost brand new BMW.

Thanks for a well planned trip and we will be in contact very soon.

Myself, my wife, our son and his girlfriend visited Egypt in December 2011. We enjoyed every minute. Spent 3 days in Cairo, some time in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor and in El-Ain El-Sokhna. Travelled up the Nile on one of the Nile boats.

Egypt is a wonderful and beautiful country. The people are fascinating, friendly and open. Yes, they negotiate like mad; Yes, sometimes it can be intimidating and irritating; transport is hectic; the roads clogged up; City is dirty by any standard. They don’t enjoy rush-hour they have rush-days. BUT, go there with the right frame of mind and you will go away with a sense of awe and wonder. These people want to enjoy you as much and even more than you want to enjoy them. Their hospitality is absolutely awesome. Their food is such a wonderful blend of culture, history and taste, just enjoy. Allow yourself to be engulfed. You will not be sorry.   The history of this country, the temples, pyramids and historic sites will leave you breathless. It is simply put, impossible to take in everything you see, hear and experience.

During our time there we were aware of demonstrations and the like, but never felt uncomfortable. Security was present at all the sights. In fact I think to some extent we were safer there than back home. Events are always portrayed far worse by the media than what it really is on the ground.

I believe it is very safe to visit Egypt. Take the normal precautions. Plan well. Enjoy.
